| Newport is a seaside town centered on the Oregon coast. The focus of my business is on residential housing and land, specializing on Oceanfront and view properties. Tourism is a major part of the local economy, and as a result, investment and income properties are also a major factor of my business. I am currently licensed as a Broker and have an ABR designation (Accredited Buyer`s Representative.) In addition, I am a graduate of the Realtor's Institute (GRI) and have achieved the CRIS designation (Certified Residential Investment Specialist) |
| PROFESSIONAL HISTORY |
| I came to Newport in 1984, and became part owner of an insurance agency specializing in Marine and Fishing Vessel insurance. In 1996 I sold the agency, and entered into a career in Real Estate. Each year since has seen continual increases in knowledge of the local market with a corresponding increase in sales. |
| PERSONAL HISTORY |
| Since our marriage in 1970, my wife and I have had five children who have been raised, for the most part, in Newport. All five have graduated with Bachelor Degrees, two from O.S.U., two from B.Y.U. and one from P.S.U. Three of the five still live in Oregon. All five are now are married and we have eight grandchildren. |
| COMMUNITY SERVICE |
| The Windermere Foundation is a non-profit organization to which brokers contribute funds for the support of homeless families. In June of each year, each office closes for a day of Community Service. Projects include service to the elderly, maintenance work on community buildings and schools. In addition, I spend time supporting and serving the local schools, cancer research fundraisers and my church. |
